GreenEarth Festival Workshops
by Bob Banner

GreenEarth Promotions & HopeDance Media present The First Annual GreenEarth Festival at the SLO Vets Hall • 11AM to 8PM • $5 (children under 15 are free) Saturday, June 5th with Booths, Music, Workshops & Food. Guest Speaker: Kevin Danaher from Global Exchange and greenfestivals.org . For more festival information, click here.

We were immediately inundated with requests from readers to facilitate workshops for the Festival. I was awe-struck. This is serious business, I recalled thinking aloud. Perhaps the universities are not doing their work. Perhaps we have the beginnings of a Learning-Annex in SLO County... the countless pioneers have been working for years and now they have something to offer to the community. Let’s just hope that the community actually wants to learn from these people! We were also amazed that folks from Santa Barbara and Ojai are coming here to share their knowledge.

Currently we have not made the decision as to which workshop will be at what specific time. We will be publishing a brochure in mid May detailing the times and places for the workshops as well as te other events happening that day. We will be using the lounge at the Vets Hall as well as canopies situated like outdoor classrooms with chairs and a table for the facilitators.

The following are brief summaries of each facilitator’s workshop for the lively day of Saturday, June 5th. And don’t forget the main attraction of the day is the very funny and gutsy and brilliant Kevin Danaher. If you don’t know who he is then either read some back issues of HopeDance, go to google and do a search or come to listen to him and then buy his most current book [ read review ].
