GOODLAND KITCHEN
A new cafe and rental kitchen named “Goodland Kitchen” opens at 231 S. Magnolia Ave in Old Town Goleta on Monday, March 28th. Hours will be Mon-Fri 7am – 2pm. Here is a description found on their web site goodlandkitchen.com:
The Goodland Kitchen is a grab-and-go eatery in Old Town Goleta that specializes in delicious, artisinal, simple, and affordable food. We prepare food on a community scale, instead of an industrial scale, and utilize local and sustainable products so we can provide an exceptional culinary experience.
Your meal may include beans from Carpinteria, herbs from Ojai, avocados & lemons from Goleta, walnuts from Patterson Avenue, and lettuce from Santa Barbara. As our local food system grows, we hope to demonstrate that the demand for better food is real, powerful, long-lasting, and delightful.
The Goodland Kitchen is also the only commercial kitchen space in Santa Barbara County designed and managed specifically for the benefit of the small batch food producer on an hourly schedule. Our clients specialize in the production and or the re-packaging of locally grown food.
The Goodland Kitchen is committed to:
- Local Agriculture, by supporting local farmers and creating our menu with seasonal items.
- Sustainability, by making decisions that are environmentally, socially, and economically sound.
- Education, by offering learning opportunities, including internships and cooking classes.
- Culinary Craftsmanship, by providing artisan quality products and exceptional service.
