On Saturday, July 28, 2012, the Transition Paso Robles Food Group is hosting Keith Larsen of the Paso Robles City Water Department presenting a free workshop at the Demonstration Garden in Centennial Park (600 Nickerson Drive, Paso Robles), entitled "Waterwise Workshop - Making the Switch". The workshop will help attendees plan and implement a conversion to a colorful drought-tolerant yard and identify resources that are available from the City of Paso Robles for making the conversion. Following the workshop there will be tours of the Demonstration Garden which is in its full summer glory with a Food Teepee, an Herb Spiral, giant pumpkins, a Sun Flower border, fruit and nut trees, and many more interesting food producing and native plants that are drought tolerant.
