COMMEMORATING 25 YEARS OF RESISTANCE TO NUCLEAR WEAPONS!
Vandenberg first began testing the MX ("Peacekeeper") ICBM in 1983 amid massive protests and hundreds of arrests, and not only
has continued ICBM testing but now has deployed interceptor missiles for the "Star Wars" program and is home to the Joint Space
Operations Center which collects and forwards satellite data to wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as covert operations around the
world.
Join Bruce Gagnon, Coordinator of the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space. Bruce is an incredible organizer and has much to share about our collective efforts to rid the world of nuclear weapons.
We will also listen to John Dear, lifelong peace-activist/author and inspiring speaker to reflect on the grounding of non-violence
in our lives as we look toward a future of peacemaking.
FREE!
Special Presentation by Pacific Islanders on the Impact of
