HopeDance
celebrates 10 years of providing radical solutions inspiring hope in
San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. Join us as we say
THANK YOU to all of you who have been a part of the success of
HopeDance. We reflect back on the impact we have made through the
publication, films, and friendships. Food & drinks and desserts
will be provided by American Flat Bread Pizza, Clark Valley Farm, the
Cakery, Sweet Earth, Joebella and others TBA. Activities include bocce
ball, ping pong, basketball and walking the trails. Children are
encouraged to attend, but please leave your pets at home. Take time to
walk around Dancing Deer, the magical 80-acre planned permaculture
designed educational center. We look to our friends and the future as
we gather to share ideas about “what’s next?”
A free shuttle will be available leaving SLO. For details call 541-2580.
And let us remember the recent words of the Dalai Lama:
“There’s
too much emotion, too much negative emotion: frustration, hatred,
anger. I think that’s the greatest obstacle. So I think as a first step
this should be cooled down. Reduced. Forget these things. And I think
for the time being, we need more festivals, more picnics. Let us forget
these difficult things, these emotions, and make personal friends. Then
we can start to talk about these serious matters.
