Information, the Good Kind

There is
unusual, disturbing as well as "get oughta
here" kinds of information in lieu of the
attacks at the Pentagon and the WTC. In many
situations, it is so much easier to rely on
mainstream media for one's sense of truth, or one's
sense of comfort. When we experience a free press, a
real free press, we can be inundated with diverse
opinions, varying assumptions, multifaceted agendas,
and belief systems that stretch the credulity of most
humans. Some of us thrive on divergent information;
some want to hear news from all over the world, from
all the varying political parties. Some are willing
to dig deep to get to the truth. Some are content at
what the dominant media sources have to say. Most of
us can't afford the time to pour over voluminous
documents. Some trust what the government or the main
sources of media tell us. And often times there's no
place to go besides what is readily available.
Radio stations are often controlled by corporations
that kow-tow to the government's PR. Television
networks are controlled by the same folks [Six firms
now dominate all American mass media: General
Electric, Viacom, Disney, Bertlesmann (Germany), AOL
Time Warner, and Murdoch's News Group (Australia).]
The vast majority of newspapers (especially the
dailies) are owned by corporations that have a vested
interest in what gets out as news, different
perspectives are ignored. There are alternatives:
listener-sponsored radio, public access and cable TV
channels offer a variety of viewpoints but they are
rare... and becoming extinct quite fast.
Then there's the internet! And thank God for the
internet, since there is so much out there. One can
easily gain access to the Pakistani News or Moscow's
Pravda or the Hindu Times. Then there is the
remarkable Independent and The Guardian out of
London. Fortunately with the web, we now have
immediate access to those dailies from around the
globe so we don't have to subscribe or dig through
the piles of dailies at the newsstand to find them.
So, after all that, I simply want to say that we here
at HopeDance have poured over hundreds of articles,
news sources, radio shows, TV stations and numerous
websites (as well as subscribing to various
listservs) to find the "truth" about recent
events. We published the "Voices" special
supplement (in late September) because we knew that
people who didn't have access to the web were not
getting alternative information as well as dissenting
opinions. Well, things haven't changed all that much
since early October. In fact, I sense they are
getting worse.
This short piece is simply to publish some of the web
sites that are tackling mainstream points-of-views as
well as deeply investigating this major event of the
21st century. This is a time when we could go ahead
and bomb every country that looks distastefully upon
the US... or it could be a great time for us to learn
our history well... to learn first hand why certain
countries (their people as well as their governments)
hate us with a passion.
A warning: some of these web sources will challenge
you, will disturb your sense of reasonableness, your
sense of political appropriateness, your sense of
reality. But it is extremely important that we open
our eyes wide and see this crisis in the large
historical and geopolitical context. We cannot simply
sit back and allow our American self-interests, our
very young history, or our fear balk at facts and
information that go against the direction of our
mainstream, that go against the president's wisdom.
We need to ask some serious questions. We need to be
prepared to be disturbed in the search for truth.
A website will be listed in bold along with a brief
explanation or summary and then perhaps an excerpt
from that website. I hope this brief summary helps
you in your search for the truth.

the FBI to back off from investigating the bin Laden

2. Congressman Dana Rohrabacher charged the Clinton
administration with sabotaging efforts to arrest bin
Laden.
3. The sacred soil that the U.S. "infidel
soldiers" supposedly "desecrated" (bin
Laden's words) in Saudi Arabia was located in a
series of top secret facilities built during the
1980s by the U.S. military at a cost (mostly to Saudi
Arabia!) of - are you ready? - over 200 BILLION
dollars. This was the largest U.S. military
construction project ever attempted outside the
continental USA. As a Public Television program
reported in 1993: "Scott Armstrong: A $200
billion program that's basically put together and
nobody's paying attention to it. It's it's the

Show #1112 Air Date: February 16, 1993 "The
Arming of Saudi Arabia." Scott Armstrong is a
top investigative reporter for the "Washington
Post").
4. CIA AGENT ALLEGEDLY MET BIN LADEN IN JULY.

5. See the government documents that prove that if no
fighters responded to protect the Pentagon, it was
because they were ordered not to.

Some "facts":
1. Flight 93 was shot down over Pennsylvania.
2. None of the alleged hijackers named by the FBI
appear on the passenger lists of the four hijacked
aircraft. One has been dead for two years. Two others
still fly for Arabian airlines.
3. Among the 257 people onboard the four doomed
airlines, none had Middle Eastern names or originated
from Middle Eastern countries.
4. Senior FBI officials and the Attorney General
intervened to terminate investigations into known
terrorist suspects after receiving numerous warnings
from their own agents and foreign intelligence
services.
5. A CIA official met with an ailing Osama bin Laden
in an American hospital in Saudi Arabia last July, as
U.S. officials announced their intentions to attack
the Taliban. U.S. and British forces were
pre-positioned in the region before Sept. 11.
6. The FBI was directly involved in the first WTC
bombing in 1993.
7. Eyewitness testimony and hard evidence that the
Murrah Building in OKC was brought down by internal
explosives was covered up by the FBI.
8. Testimony by at least 183 witnesses who saw a
missile strike Flight 800 was placed under wraps by
the FBI, who also removed crucial pieces of wreckage
stained by missile residue and refused to release
radar tapes showing the strike.
9. A FEMA emergency response team arrived in NYC on
the night of Sept. 10 and was the first rescue team
to go into action the following morning.

The US ignored early warnings
The CIA knew via Echelon at least 3 months in advance
that we were going to be attacked by planes used as
weapons:

least three months ago that Middle Eastern terrorists

said that the Echelon spy network was being used to

months ago western and near-east press services were
receiving information that such attacks were being
planned.

anthrax strain produced in US University is
